Sabancı University has signed a significant collaboration agreement to combine its research and development expertise in healthcare technologies with clinical applications. Under the protocol signed with Izmir University of Economics Medical Point Hospital, joint studies will be conducted in many areas, primarily biotechnology, biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital health applications, and clinical research.

This collaboration, which brings together Sabancı University's academic and technological knowledge with Izmir University of Economics Medical Point Hospital's clinical experience, aims to support scientific research, develop innovative healthcare technologies, and train qualified human resources in the healthcare field.
New Healthcare Solutions Through Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Sabancı University President Yusuf Leblebici emphasized the critical importance of interdisciplinary collaborations in healthcare technologies, highlighting that Sabancı University possesses a strong research and development infrastructure, particularly in the fields of medical electronics, physical artificial intelligence, medical sensors, smart healthcare systems, and advanced microelectronics technologies.
Leblebici stated, "Future healthcare solutions will be shaped by the convergence of electronics, artificial intelligence, data science, and life sciences. At Sabancı University, we are combining the competencies we have developed in the fields of semiconductor technologies, biomedical systems, smart sensors, and AI-supported healthcare applications with the strong clinical experience of Izmir University of Economics Medical Point Hospital. Through this collaboration, we aim not only to develop new technologies but also to transform these technologies into concrete solutions that will improve the quality of life for patients. I believe that together we will undertake research and innovation projects that will increase Türkiye's competitiveness in the field of health technologies and create an impact on an international scale."

Veysi Kubba, Chair of the Board of Directors of Izmir University of Economics Medical Point Hospital, stated that technology is increasingly playing a more decisive role in healthcare services and drew attention to the transformation of healthcare services in the age of artificial intelligence.
